What brings you here

When Life Feels Like a Lot

Adult life can be complicated.

You may be navigating anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, caregiving, divorce, career changes, or simply a season of life that feels harder than you expected. Sometimes there is a clear reason you are struggling. Other times, life looks fine from the outside, but something inside feels unsettled, disconnected, or exhausted.

I offer warm, collaborative, trauma-informed care for adults who want a place to slow down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and feel less alone in what they are carrying.

You do not need to wait until things fall apart to ask for support.

My approach

For the People Who Never Quite Fit the Mold

I am especially drawn to adults who spent much of their lives feeling different, misunderstood, overly sensitive, intense, difficult, or somehow out of step with the people around them.

Maybe you were the child who worked incredibly hard to keep up. The one who learned to mask. The perfectionist. The daydreamer. The people pleaser. The one with big emotions. Or perhaps you are only now beginning to understand yourself through a late diagnosis of ADHD or autism.

My work is informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and trauma-informed care. Rather than asking, “What is wrong with me?” we can begin asking different questions: What happened? What have you had to carry? What parts of you learned to protect you? And what do you need now?

Our work together

Finding Your Way Back Home

IFS is grounded in the belief that beneath all of our protective parts is a Self that is already there: calm, curious, compassionate, connected, and capable of leading.

In therapy, we work with the parts of you that worry, shut down, overfunction, criticize, protect, avoid, or carry old pain. The goal is not to get rid of those parts. It is to help create enough space for more Self to come forward.

When we have more access to Self, we often have more capacity to meet life with choice instead of reaction, curiosity instead of judgment, and self-compassion instead of shame. We’ll connect that understanding with practical ways to set boundaries, respond to overwhelm, and make decisions with more confidence.

I think of this as finding your way back home.

So much of therapy can be about discovering that what you have been searching for has, in some way, been inside you all along. Not because life has given you everything you needed, but because there is a deeper steadiness within you that can be strengthened, trusted, and returned to.

The difficult seasons do not disappear. But they can become more manageable when you know how to find your way back to yourself.

We learn to belong to ourselves first. And from that place, we have more freedom to grow into connection with others.
